Styrofoam Peanuts

Styrofoam Peanuts...we've all seen them, you know the stuff that falls out all over when you open that box and dig in to find your merchandise.

Probably the most popular and widely used form of package cushioning on the market. Sometimes referred to as just Peanuts…this product is available in three different styles.

First there is the traditional or industrial packing peanut…this is probably the most well known version made from polystyrene.

These come in an interlocking "S" shape which helps prevent your contents from settling during shipment. However, these do have a tendency to break apart and find their way down into small openings.

To avoid this issue there is what we refer to as Flo-Pak® or "figure 8" design which is an excellent shock absorber for those delicate items. These are often referred to as the "clean" peanut because they won't break or crumble.

Finally, there are biodegradable packing peanuts which are made from corn starch. This organic material is also static free. For the environmentally friendly...Biodegradable packing peanuts will dissolve in water leaving no toxic waste. A great choice if you're trying to go green!

Whichever style you choose…Peanuts are the simplest and most versatile void fill on the market.
