Multi-Depth Boxes for the Perfect Fit Every Time!
Multi-Depth boxes provide great flexibility when you’re just not sure what size box you will need to ship your items.
Multi-Depth boxes are scored at several different depths making it easy to adjust the height of the box. No special tools are necessary…simply cut them down to the desired height.
If your packaging requirements vary from shipment to shipment…multi-depth boxes are a great option. You can save on space and money by reducing the number of different boxes in your inventory.
Dimensions
Dimensions for boxes are usually given in the sequence of length, width and height (LxWxH) and represent the inside opening of an assembled box.
Standard Sizes
These are the most readily available sizes. Boxes are sold by the Bundle or Bale quantity.
| Length | Width | Height | Bundle Quantities | Bale Quantities |
| 4" to 36" | 4" to 36" | 4" to 36" | 5 to 25 | 120 to 1800 |
Weight
Corrugated boxes can get heavy very quickly, especially if you're talking about a bigger size box. Keep this in mind when you determine how many you need as this can effect your shipping options.
UPS and FEDEX typically have size and weight limitations so shipping via motor freight is usually the best and cheapest option for larger quantities.
Strength
Boxes are usually specified in a manner such as...200#/ECT-32. This refers to the two tests typically used to determine strength: the Bursting Test and Edge Crush Test.
This information is printed on the Box Manufacturers Certificate located on the bottom flap of the box. We recommend that you never exceed the gross weight limit for the box.
Pictorial Markings
These types of markings are applied to shipping boxes to convey handling instructions without the limitations of language. We highly recommended pictorial markings if the package is going to be shipped internationally.
Storage and handling
Always store corrugated boxes in areas that avoid temperature extremes and fluctuations. Make sure to avoid crushing the corrugated in any way, especially the corners.
Custom Printing
Printing can be a tricky thing on corrugated. Colors don't always turn out they way they would on other papers. A great option is to print your logo or other information on a label and place that on your box. We recommend you check out our custom boxes for more info on printing.
